Green Relish LLC
Green Relish is a professional production studio designed for photography, film, and creative work. The following terms ensure the Studio remains safe, functional, and respectful of the building and surrounding community.
STUDIO RULES SUMMARY
Reservation Time
Reservation time includes load-in, setup, production, breakdown, and load-out. The Studio must be vacated by the end of the reserved time.
Load-In
All equipment must enter through the rear entrance located in the alley. The front entrance is for pedestrian access only.
Crew Size
Productions expecting more than 25 persons must disclose crew size when booking. Maximum occupancy is 39 persons unless otherwise approved or limited by fire code.
Early Arrival
Crew members, talent, vendors, and guests may not arrive before the reservation start time unless approved.
Studio Care
The Studio must be returned in the same condition as received. Cleaning, repairs, or damage will be billed to the Client.
Restricted Activities
Open flames, cooking equipment, fog/smoke effects, paint, glitter, water effects, or hazardous materials require prior approval.
Animals
Animals are permitted only with prior approval and must remain under control of a handler.
Noise
Music and amplified sound must remain at reasonable levels and reduced upon request.
AGREEMENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By reserving or using the Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Production Studio Rental Terms.
The individual making the reservation represents that they are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of the production or organization, and accepts responsibility for compliance by all members of the production team.
1. Parties
Green Relish LLC ("Studio", "we", or "us") operates the production studio space described in this Agreement.
The individual or entity reserving the Studio ("Client" or "you") agrees to these terms.
Client and the Production are responsible for the conduct of all employees, contractors, crew members, talent, guests, and vendors (collectively the Production Group).
2. Reservations and Payment
Reservation time begins and ends at the times booked.
Reservation time includes load-in, setup, production, breakdown, and load-out.
A 15-minute grace period is permitted for load-out. After this, overtime is billed in one-hour increments.
A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation.
For new clients, the remaining balance must be paid before the reservation begins.
For approved or returning clients, the remaining balance will be invoiced and due within 30 days.
The Studio may require full payment in advance at its discretion.
Client authorizes the Studio to charge the payment method on file for:
• reservation fees
• overtime
• cleaning
• repairs or damages
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes.
3. Cancellation Policy
Reservations may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 72 hours before the reservation start time.
Cancelled reservations receive a studio credit valid for 12 months.
Reservations cancelled within 72 hours are non-refundable and not eligible for credit.
4. Use of the Studio
The Studio may be used only for photography, film production, and related creative work unless otherwise approved.
Client / Production must comply with all laws, building rules, and instructions from Studio staff.
5. Occupancy
Maximum occupancy is 30 persons unless otherwise approved by the Studio or limited by fire code.
Productions expecting more than 20 persons must disclose crew size at booking.
Client / Production is responsible for ensuring occupancy limits are not exceeded.
6. Right to Stop a Production
The Studio reserves the right to stop or terminate any production that:
• violates these terms
• creates unsafe conditions
• exceeds occupancy limits
• damages Studio property
• disrupts building operations or neighbors
No refunds will be issued if a production is terminated due to violation of these rules.
7. Alcohol and Controlled Substances
Alcohol may only be consumed by persons 21 years of age or older. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited. Alcohol may not be consumed in parking areas or building common areas.
8. Studio Condition and Cleaning
Client / Production must inspect the Studio upon arrival. Any pre-existing damage must be reported within 15 minutes. The Studio must be returned in substantially the same condition as received.
Cleaning may incur a minimum $250 fee or $200/hour, whichever is greater.
9. Personal Property
The Studio is not responsible for personal property brought onto the premises. Items left behind may be held for four (4) days before being considered abandoned.
10. Load-In and Building Use
All equipment must enter through the rear entrance. The front entrance is for pedestrian access only unless approved. Production activities must not block hallways, sidewalks, or fire exits. Client / Production is responsible for parking compliance.
11. Animals
Animals require prior approval. Animals must remain under the control of a handler at all times. Client / Production is responsible for any damage or cleaning caused by animals.
12. Rigging
No equipment may be attached to ceilings, walls, or structural elements without approval. Unauthorized rigging that causes damage will be repaired at the Client’s expense.
13. Special Effects / Cooking
Activities requiring approval include:
• smoke or fog machines
• open flames or candles
• propane or gas equipment
• cooking appliances (grills, burners, hot plates)
• water effects
• paint, dyes, sand, or soil
• glitter or confetti
Client / Production is responsible for any resulting cleaning or damage.
14. Early Arrival and Crew Holding
Crew may not arrive before the reservation start time without approval. The Studio does not provide holding areas outside the reserved space. Crew may not gather in hallways, sidewalks, parking areas, or neighboring properties.
15. Noise
Music and amplified sound must remain at reasonable levels. The Studio may require sound to be lowered or discontinued if disruptive.
16. Insurance
The Studio requires proof of insurance for all productions. Failure to provide insurance may result in cancellation.
17. Liability
The Studio is not liable for:
• loss of production
• business interruption
• damage to Client equipment
Total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the reservation.
18. Indemnification
Client / Production agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Green Relish LLC from claims arising from the use of the Studio or actions of the Production Group.
19. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
20. Studio Credit
When images or video produced at the Studio are shared publicly, Client / Production is encouraged to credit the Studio as “Green Relish.”
